    If the Republicans lose Congress in the midterms then they’re suddenly and inexplicably going to LOVE the filibuster.

      Which is why Thune doesn’t want to get rid of it. He has been around to see the pendulum swing both ways.

      And I would bet they’re banking on losing considering the administrations approval ratings have exited the toilet and are currently on their way to the sewer plant.

      They protect the filibuster now like a baby chick. It’s the only thing that stops Trump’s most destructive impulses from becoming a reality. They point to the filibuster and shrug that their hands are tied

      If the Republicans wanted to they could have binned it yesterday. The Dems should get rid of it the day they take the house.
