      When she refused, guards pulled off her clothes, groped her and forced her to kneel. One of them inserted her fingers into Liedtke’s vagina and then her anus, Liedtke said.

        Am I missing something, other than the kneeling, that sounds almost exactly like a strip search?

        Nobody wants to be strip searched, yes it’s humiliating, and I doubt a foreign country is going to oblige to you rejecting their terms.

          You’re confusing a cavity search by a medical professional in a sterile environment, with weaponizing sex acts to traumatize the victim and as a show of power.

      To respond to your edit: rape was accurate, even with the pretense of a strip search. Do not tell us what she meant. You are trivializing what happened to her.
