What the hell even is our economy anymore?
AI speculation.
I mean, I don’t know that he’s wrong. It’s just weird to hear someone say it.
Memes, mostly. Lots of memes.

Somehow the weird box adds a certain…something to the meme.
Use this space to imagine I posted the fixed meme
Coincidentally, GameStop is also irrelevant to Games.
Coincidentally, GameStop is also irrelevant
to Games
Well they’re not called ‘GameGo’
Game? Stop!
No, money down!
Where’s that from again? Somehow I hear Will Arnett saying that.
I remember seeing it from Lionel hutz in the Simpsons voiced by Phil Hartman RIP
That quote is from the Simpsons, though Will Arnett’s character had nothing to do with that episode

30 Rock had a similar bit. And again, Will Arnett guest starred in that show, but not in that episode at all.
DOTCOM: Hey, Tray! We just picked up your birthday party invitations from the printer!
TRACY: Wait! What is this? “Give to charity, please, no presents”?
DOTCOM: Yeah, that’s what you told me to put on the card.
TRACY: No, Dot Com! I said, “Give to charity? Please, no. Presents!”
The general strategy for GameStop according to all the people in the comments is that they should tell the media that they’re completely screwed and will just give up. How dare the CEO try to make it sound like his company is going to continue being successful. Absolutely appalling
I guess they’re just “Stop” then.
Game means more then video games… Table top, board games, card games… Literally they are making bank off card games right now. They are still if not more so right now game stop then ever before.
They do all game shit now instead of just one category.
They are still cunts for doing card grading tho stupid ass shit that is
I guess the bottom fell out of the Funko Pop market then?
Which is why I’ve been going all in on Funko Pops. Buy when it’s down!
I’m just happy they are still around either way. Considering how expensive video gaming is getting…I don’t blame anyone from pivoting from it and playing other types of games.
They are a collectibles and trading card company. The games have stopped
They pulled a reverse Nintendo?
Sort of the joke with the meltdown over PS6 going all digital.
If they hadn’t, who would be left to retail them?
No worries, our plan is just to become to games what Hot Topic is to music.
Just change the store name to Stop.
Because GAME already went broke.
Likewise, CEOs are irrelevant to game quality.
I would say detrimental to game quality.
Since they’ve become a partner with PSA (card grading), they’ve made so much money, it makes sense. PSA has a 10 MILLION backlog and ones submitted through GameStop were less expensive and quicker grading times… They’re making so much money
And card grading is…?
The amount of negativity here is very positive. Somebody somewhere has an agenda to think they’re doing badly as a business 😜
Used games account for over 20% of their revenue.
This information is publicly available as they are publicly traded.
This claim is a an insult to the average readers intelligence.
He is saying it’s irrelevant to the future of the company. Obviously it still has material impact on the current revenue. Sony is going to stop selling disks by 2028. So, new software essentially has to be materially irrelevant by then and used software will likely drop consistently after.
These days, they are an insult to gamers.
This is the same one who thought he could buy ebay right? Doofus.
Their main focus right now is cards and collectibles. It’s not really a stretch.
What happened with them being a meme stock?
Ceo (who the cult worships) did like 4 huge stock offerings and diluted the float around 300%. Any moass short play is dead but a lot of them are sunk cost fallacy trapped.
The stock is still undervalued, that’s all that matters.
Moass or not, people are investing in Cohen, and the man is a genius. He’s taking GameStop from strength to strength.
You can argue with all the data supporting the moass thesis, but you cannot argue with the excellent fundamentals. Especially in this economy.
Imo, it’s free money regardless.
Edit: to add aswell, the fact they’re gearing up to acquisition eBay is a huge deal.
Its funny how they always say shit like I’m smooth brain, I just buy. And yeah, they continuously buy GME at set intervals, which… is what normal investors do (sans diversify). Full circle
They leveraged the market cap to stay in business and become a generic gaming related things retail/scalper hybrid.
They already were that…
Soooo mini figs?
yup, all sortz of plastic crack basically. low cost/high margin product
Kids gambling!
