The industry has been able to pull some old tankers back into service, but lack of tankers could become a bottleneck in fairly short order.
Cheap shipping is very important to the world economy and it ain’t cheap anymore.
These cargo ships are not easily replaceable. Soon the cost of shipping will be higher than the cost of the oil itself.

I believe Iran reported that they hit a mine, but Singapore said it was a drone or missile. Apparently it was fully loaded, so flood the engine room and the ship goes down.
Probably just a wave, Iran has been disarmed after all. Chance in a million.
