Iran’s parents had just dropped their children off for class on Saturday morning when they found themselves racing back to school gates, as bombs began to fall across the country in a joint US-Israel attack.
At one elementary school, according to Iran’s state-controlled media, they arrived to find devastation. At least 80 children had been killed in the strike on Shajareh Tayyebeh girls’ school in Minab, southern Iran, the IRNA news agency reported, with dozens more unaccounted for.
In one video circulating on social media, purportedly showing the immediate aftermath of the strike, smoke rises from the burnt-out walls, and debris lies spread across the road. Hundreds of onlookers gathered at the site, some in obvious distress. Screams can be heard in the background. The report of the bombing, its death toll and the video’s source could not immediately be independently verified by the Guardian. Persian factchecking service Factnameh was able to cross-reference the video with other photographs of the school site, and concluded that the video was authentic. Reuters said it had also verified the footage as being from the school.

For anyone else reading this, FG_3479 has other posts promoting deportation and suggesting some immigrants are simply “wired for crime”.
I don’t think there’s any need to engage with someone who has such a clear absence of compassion or humanity.
I do not think you should simply pick random people off the street and deport them.
I think that illegal immigrants should be given a chance to go through the process to become legal, and that process should be cheaper and faster than it is now.

No one is illegal on stolen land. The United States has no actual right to exist, and therefore has no actual right to deport people.
Drug dealers are supplying a demand created by citizens and governments have no right to tell people what substances they may or may not put in their own bodies. You address harmful drug use by providing people with a life they don’t feel a desperate need to escape from, not by taking anyone’s freedom.

Prior to this attack, as well as the bunker busters dropped last year: I do not believe Iran is/was creating nuclear weapons.
Since these two attacks however, I believe they’d be justified in seeking such weapons simply because America has proven over and over that no nation is safe without them.
In short; I don’t think they are/were, but I do think they should be in response. As much as I don’t like nuclear proliferation, I’m much much more against deliberately killing innocents, particularly children.
Perhaps I’d have a different opinion if America/Israel struck military targets; but they didn’t. They struck homes, schools, and other civilians.

The school wasn’t targeted, dum dum. There was a military building very close to the school and despite what you see in the movies, most missiles launched in wars aren’t all that perfect at hitting their intended target.
I’m not defending Trump or Israel or the strikes. I’m just defending against the ignorance if you spreading misinformation that wouldn’t even make sense to do intentionally to begin with. Trump regime wanted to make sure Israel struck first because they thought it would look better that way to US voters. You think he intentionally wanted the flak from bombing a grade school?
That was my first thought but the BBC are reporting the school was ~600m from the IRGC base which is well beyond the CEP of modern guided munitions (even if they lose GPS signal, JDAMs should have a CEP of <= 30m on inertial guidance alone). So I dunno, catastrophic intelligence failure or a result of an attempted interception seem to be the leading theories that I can see now.
I can see incompetence, some sort of missile failure, or Iranian defense having something to do with it. There’s no purposeful reason to intentionally hit a single grade school. At least not from the US. It would be counter to anything Trumpet would want. I could only see it as an open possibility from Israel if they wanted to intentionally prolong the war in order to slaughter Iranians by enraging them to make them not want to turn against their current government as much.
Intentionally launching bombs without ensuring the safety of civilians is the same as intentionally bombing civilians. When you launch that bomb, the result is on you.
Those rules have not mattered in my lifetime. They are guidelines at best.
