TL;DR => Look at the pinned post in this community.

Far too many posts in this community are just “Wow, the racist man did something hella racist?” and somehow that is supposed to be like the Onion. Nothing funny, super depressing, not like the Onion. We can all look at the news, we know what villainy and buffoonery is happening in the USA. Stop turning this into a USA/Isreal politics community.

When posting: read the headline and think to yourself “Is this something that insert racist/bigot who is incompetent would do?” If it is a yes, don’t post it. Some political things can be like the Onion but IRL, but the vast majority on this community are just depressing reality where the punchline is that they are evil and stupid. So what!? Join a political humor community. The mods already said this stuff wasn’t welcome in this community in the pinned post.

To keep this community funny, ridiculous, and bordering on IRL satire, and point this out to people who post stuff that doesn’t fit here. Dont engage (upvote), just comment “this isnt the community for politics” and reference the mod post.

    I mean, they obviously would do it, or the headline is wrong. If they wouldn’t have done it, they wouldn’t have done it, but they apparently did.

    But that’s just me being pedantic. I do agree with you that a lot of posts are just trying to dunk on Trump and his group chat for being stupid. Being stupid is not enough to be funny, and the headlines here should be comedic in some way.

    I mean the onion does make headlines about US politics that fit stuff that is posted here because it is just so absurdly stupid or weird. The Onion itself is a political page

      For instance, Loomer bragging to her dad that she gave trump blow jobs is less political, and more gross. This is what downvotes and upvotes are for.

      Right! The not the onion joke is all about how the actual news is stupider than real life satire and that absolutely includes politics.

      The problem is low effort posts.

      Sadly that’s just the Internet, you can’t turn a corner anywhere in any community but for someone going on about some internal/niche thing happening in that country. They never specify where they are either, just assuming we’re all exactly where they are, in the only country that exists.

      I’m still annoyed by it don’t get me wrong, but I don’t expect it to change, sadly. There’s just life, and life is pain and disappointment.
