In this iCarly episode, Sam tells the world that Freddie never kissed a girl (they were all like 13-14 at this time). It’s one of those episodes where you have to “read between the lines”. They were using kissing as a metaphor for having sex. Being an adult virgin is a very big deal, and it’ll ruin your social life if people find out. Some people like to have sex “just to get it over with”, and I think that’s what the iKiss episode was going for. Everyone bullying Freddie for not kissing a girl is actually the most realistic thing out of any Nick show or comedy.
And this goes for male or female: if you are a virgin in your 20s, you will get made fun of BY EVERYONE if they find out.
Dude, seriously, you need to talk with someone, like a mental health professional. Your obsession with virginity is very concerning. If you are not already an incel, I think you are very close to becoming one.
You need better ‘friends’, beacuse no-one cares if you’ve had sex or not.
First off, I wouldn’t take anything from a junior high level sitcom seriously.
Second, no one cares if you’re a virgin. And if they do care, their opinion on the subject is irrelevant.
Stop worrying about it.
I’m a 34 year old virgin and nobody has ever made fun of me for it. It rarely even comes up in conversation.
I don’t know who is in your social circle but most adults don’t care if you’re a virgin
I think you are reading way too much into it, I was mocked for never kissing kissing someone when I was that age. Kids can be cruel, and I think this episode is just surface level deep. The target audience is young teens - children. I do not expect neon genesis evangelion depth in the writing. But maybe you could be right, but usually the hints are way more subtle, like Peter Parker’s jizzed hands in the first Spiderman movie when he wakes up (big puberty analogy). But, for me, the iCarly episode would make it very disturbing if a Nickelodeon show wanted to make subliminal messaging about sex
