They’re not doing it to protect kids.

I could swear I’ve seen some sort of small three pronged thing that you drop into your pot, and as the liquid boils, it spins and stirs it.

It’s not so much that they like them tanned, they don’t like tan lines. It suggests they’ve been out in the sun, and not enslaved in a dark room, waiting for them.

Here is America we hit a similar milestone last year, with fewer than 10% of the population smoking. That’s the first time it’s gone below 10%.
Then I remembered that the article didn’t mention vaping, which is way up. It’s good that smoking is down, but if most of it is just being replaced by a product we know nearly nothing about, I’m not sure how much of an improvement that really is.

The AI won’t replace labor, automation/robotics will do that. AI will provide the brain to operate the automation properly. We’ve had the automation for a long time, the AI is making the difference.
They are working very hard on the intersection of AI and Automation to replace human labor.

It’s the next step of their indoctrination into corporate wage slaves. They were just convinced to spend tens of thousands of dollars on a half-assed degree, and now you have to set them up for the frustration of either having a terrible entry level grunt job, or no job at all.
So you send in a Captain of Industry to encourage them to enthusiastically apply their noses to the grindstone in order to reach their dreams of success.
Except people are starting to catch on to the scam, and are letting them know.

He’s going to have to face consequences, too.

When you go to war with the entire world, you make enemies you don’t even know about.

Oh, yeah, the damage he caused is incalculable.

Or:
“Just keep making and selling them more rope, eventually they’ll hang themselves with it.”

Have they tried horse paste?

I remember listening to Rush Limbaugh in the late 80s, when he first came on. He had a great tonality for radio, and was facile, and could drone on for hours, in a uniquely entertaining way. He set the standard for the legion of wannabe conservative talkers that followed. That smooth talking, speculative, non-stop patter is all Limbaugh. He’s the guy that did it best, and the one they all copy.
I had good Critical Thinking Skills, so he didn’t draw me in, and I was able to watch from the sidelines as he spun his propaganda. But others weren’t as able to resist him, and I listened as they called his show, and praised him for showing them the way, through conservatism. As his popularity grew across the country, and he quickly became the main tentpole for the Conservative Propaganda Machine, literally the recruitment and indoctrination arm, I wondered where the Republican Party, and America would be in 20, 30, 40 years time.
I figured we’d get a hold of it somewhere along the line, but I also thought about how bad things could get if they got everything on their Wish List, and that Worst Cast Scenario is exactly what has happened. The Dems let us down badly, as I also predicted was possible, even probable.
There are paths out of this, that puts America on a proper path for the rest of this century. America can be a place where people are helped to rise and improve themselves, their families, and their community, like China has done, or it can be a place where people are enslaved to profit.
The only problem is that is going to take strong Democratic and Citizen resolve, and it’s going to get pretty ugly, and very possibly violent, to purge MAGA from our government and society, and the current Democrat Party doesn’t have what it takes. Let’s hope that changes in 2026 and 2028, and we get enough courageous people in office who will exercise that level of resolve.

Don’t forget the Ellisons.

The first returns were all about the same thing as this post, but I clicked a Reddit link to see what they said about it, and the first zillion comments were all about ad blockers, and all of them getting their zingers in (“I ain’t raw dogging it on your website”). I scrolled for a while and gave up, without ever getting to a post about the subject. I figured next up was a bunch of puns.
A brief reminder of why I don’t miss Reddit.

Having people hear about big tech companies unionizing can only help. Unions keep pressure on the companies, and keep them from going too far. Other companies hear about it, and offer up their own reforms voluntarily, hoping it will keep the workers from unionizing. Either way, unions work for EVERYBODY.

Unionize Everything!

Years ago, my wife took a job as the lone secretary to a lawyer with a high volume of paperwork, permit applications, etc. The previous secretary, who had retired, didn’t like the computer, and just typed everything by hand.
My wife automated all the forms so she could jump from field to field, and get the paperwork done much faster. So fast in fact, that he decided not to hire the second secretary, and just dump it all on my wife. Then he turned out to be an absolute monster in so many ways that my wife just up and quit one day, which was fine with me.
But she had never told him about her automated forms that she created. He just thought her increased productivity was due to using the computer. So she told me that she made those forms to help herself, not him, and dumped all of them before she left, and he never knew.

Yeah, you’re right, they’d be better off without an extra $400k. Let the rich guys keep it. /S
Wait until we find out that the school-assigned devices are always listening, and everything is being scanned for keywords by the NSA, and they’re taking action based on what they hear, arresting and deporting people.
It sounds insane, but this is MAGAmerica. If this was the top story tomorrow, I wouldn’t be surprised, at all. Think of this when the Administration says they are going to give a free laptop or tablet to every American schoolchild.
