My refund this year was $76 which is as close to 0 as I can get it. I will never understand people who put down a bunch of dependents on their forms for work and then come tax season get gobsmacked they owe thousands to the Federal Government here

At least while they’re in orbit you’d be looking at a few hundred ms of latency (due to satellite to ground station bounces). If they need to RDP while at the moon, it’s going to be a couple of seconds latency

I get what you’re saying, but I think it’d be better phrased as ‘the system’ (rich people) don’t want you to live.

I work from home, every other day is my routine.

Come on now, it’s not that bad.
Voyager 1 is just 23h 32m 9.981s light seconds away.
One way.

I honestly thought it was already dead in like 2010??

My eyes just slide right over it, even if it’s something I initially found interesting.

Fighting with their shitty “new” UI trying to find the old Sound UI to fix an issue that their new UI doesn’t even have a toggle for really chapped my ass.

I told myself I’d give Win11 (using tools to uninstall all the bullshit/tracking) for 3-4 months before seriously considering linux. I made it 3 months, got tired of having to re-uninstall shit I don’t want every update and just flat out wiped the install and installed CachyOS. It’s been perfect, even new game releases like Death Stranding 2 worked out of the box, fuck windows.

I am a parent, and you are correct. I just fuckin’ wing it.

On my desktop I use YouTube Enhancer on Firefox and you can make it to where shorts literally never show up.
Now, if only it could filter out the “Buy Premium Now” and “Try Out Our AI Bullshit” boxes that appear…

I got my 5700X3D for 280 about this time last year, so that’s actually not an awful price increase.

These are giant dedicated HBM chips that are on the motherboard, they won’t be going into any GPUs.

Most of the lithography that is dedicated to RAM is being done for HBM modules, which are not consumer grade. So more likely it will end up in landfills.
It’s Technology news, I’m not sure what else to tell you.
