If they knowingly sell to EU customers, then EU law applies. 2 year warranty, and burden of proof on the seller for defects, not the buyer.

On Linux there is “onedriver”, a 3rd party onedrive client. Works great, but iirc not with sharepoint shares linked in your onedrive folder.

Could be, my kids have identical pc’s, but the disks are different. One has a slower ssd and its symptoms are exactly how you described, I knew it was slower but it’s all I had around. Both pc’s have SATA ssds. We’re saving for new disks, which I’m sure will alleviate the symptoms.
At work a similar problem with Windows server. The hosting company changed the IO tier and like snow these issues disappeared. Clicking start and waiting for it to open would take a minute, completely unacceptable, but ultimately fixed by having faster storage.
I’m not saying Microsoft is doing good work, I’m suggesting a workaround until they do, which we both know is very probably never.
They already pushed out older hardware with Windows 11, they won’t care about slower storage options.

I have that problem on my son’s pc. It’s definitely an io issue. A faster disk would solve the problem.

Nobody sees it that way, nobody notices what we notice. They don’t know any alternatives, it has new features so it’s innovating, it does what they want/need. I hear no complaints, only from tech people who are invested in privacy and digital sovereignty. That’s the reality.

Just being there and breathing probably releases more bacteria than just touching it

I don’t think windows is how they make most of their money

Don’t forget to add a string to your wifi ssid so Microsoft doesn’t index it.
And if you don’t want Google to index it you need to use a different string, and it must be placed at the end.

As someone who manages a mail server, new debian releases have the same effect.
If you want to avoid this, use a rolling release distro.

Were you affected by the dotcom bubble?
Maybe the remaining tech companies, such as Microsoft and Nvidia, might raise prices of their products to cover the losses.

I worked with SAP software before, not sure how I should feel about this 😄

It’s deekseek the new Grindr?

I got a notification from bpost saying it’s suspended because they don’t know how much the cost will be, so they don’t know how much to charge.

They probably think this will persuade the politicians to review these rules, as they can’t reach their target audiences anymore. I hope they see the overwhelming support for this decision, but I’m not sure if I’m in a bubble. I only see positive reactions so far. There was 1 critical article in the news, but just stating facts, no opinions. I think it’s great. Less brainwashing going on during the election cycles from now on since Facebook in particular allowed for some really specific demographic targeting.

They are technically free to leave the country

US websites don’t even ask, they just do it behind your back.

On top of what the other comments said, they did facial recognition with tracking. They created an id that was attached to a certain person. When the unit was reset, the same id was applied. People didn’t know this happened, because supposedly nothing went to the cloud or something.

I have a Reolink that is completely offline, but they also are under scrutiny for having Chinese backdoors in their newest models.
An other alternative is Ubiquity, but they are expensive. They used to have a completely offline offering, but I started looking at Reolink because Ubiquity started with cloud logins. Things may have changed, so look up more recent, non anecdotal, information.

I think it simply promotes other prime video content instead of product advertisement.
Let’s look back 100 years and see what decisively to the right did to the EU 🤔
