Everfall 2 is the “sequel” to Everfall, a vibe coded disaster of a game. The sequel only exists because the “dev” couldn’t figure out how to get Claude to fix the fact that save games just didn’t work. One week after publishing the original, he abandoned it saying the sequel would be given to everyone who bought the first at a “huge discount”. After push back, he reduced it to free if you DM him on discord. The sequel is almost exactly the same as the first game except saving works more often. Like, literally 100% carbon copy. The screenshots on each steam page is proof of that.

That’s a fair outlook, and I hope this never happens to either of us! Vertigo can strike quite suddenly, especially if it’s from a brain injury, and I personally can’t really fathom a situation where I would ever prioritize the camera, even if mild. But my experience with this comes from my ex-fiancé who would get vertigo episodes out of the blue with no warning because of having too many concussions playing football at a young age. He was still built like a football player though, so I wouldn’t be able to even drag him, let alone carry him any significant distance. Can’t risk it getting worse instead of better.

Vertigo can just be dizziness/disorientation full stop. It can be from heights, it can happen from a brain injury, from being sick, and it can be completely unpredictable.

Okay, I’m no proponent of gambling, but the brain’s chemical reward for winning gambles is real, it’s addictive, and calling everyone with a gambling addiction an immature loser that just needs to grow up is about as helpful as telling someone with cancer to just get better. Blame those that are exploiting them. Shame rarely helps the ones who are exploited. 90% of the time they are shaming themselves more than you could possibly fathom.

It is an example of something you do not need to experience first hand to have a valid opinion on. Outsider perspectives are valuable too.

I think there’s a clear distinction between your characterization and the reality which is that California contributes massively to the US government in EXCHANGE for federally funded services like FEMA. The money California generates for the US could just be relegated to their own FEMA.

It’s generally agreed across the entire world that if you enter a contract with someone and that person breaks the terms of said contract, you are no longer beholden to those terms.

I mean it’s the same reason the Nazis weren’t socialist despite being the national socialist party. It’s in name only. I don’t see a single way in which China is making steps towards becoming a stateless, classless, moneyless society.
