“Failed him” is a pretty tame assessment of what happened. He didn’t damage the nerve endings in a concert pianists hand. That would be a failure.
He killed a man through willful incompetence or negligence. He’s a murderer, not a failure.

But also they drink, or at least the rich and powerful do if they want to.
Hypocrisy is a core part of wealth.

The school was not on the base, and haven’t been for 10 years.
In contrast, the US has 161 schools actually on on its military bases. Are they using kids as a way to get international sympathy if they are killed?

Because then they would have something better and would have improved one of the most popular extensions in their browser?

Sure, so they should have used some of that AI cash to rebuild ublock origin in rust, or push it further along the path to web assembly its already on.

Hes also a bigot that was removed from leadership at Mozilla that has run multiple scams via Brave, all while taking Thiel bucks. What’s your point?

They could just have easily built in the unlock origin plugin and not gone with braves, a browser that is plagued with scandal.

Lots of people aren’t free to travel to Israel, millions of them in fact. You sure they will have a “good” experience when they try?

Toss nextdns.io into the mix if you have technical chops. Its a great way to filter ads at the DNS level that is also free. I use that in my pi hole setup as the DNS to just layer and layer on more filtering.
Sponsorblock is also great for things that YouTube videos to filter out ad reads/self promo/etc in YouTube videos.

Good practice, but consider putting something like Dnsnet on the phone to fully block all ads:
https://f-droid.org/packages/dev.clombardo.dnsnet
It starts a small “VPN” client that will filter incoming/outgoing traffic for any add content and kill it before it gets sent. Its free and works great on any android device, rooted or not.

They discuss this in the article. Used batteries are not their bottleneck, at least for this company. The issue is incorporating all the different designs/chemistry’s/states safely:
The company has more than one GWh of batteries ready to go and expects to add another five GWh this year. Ultimately, the bottleneck to scale isn’t battery supply — Redwood takes in more than 20 GWh of batteries each year. is the safety qualification process required to put batteries out in the field. Sun explained that the core architecture, racking, pack manager, and software can handle multiple chemistries and form factors, but getting them past hurdles like the rigorous UL 9540A fire safety testing Redwood recently passed in-house is another matter.

I have this exact situation. Vp runs literally 100% of his thoughts through a chatbot, which has conviced him that all his SMEs that actually do things are idiots. Hes slightly less of an idiot than the rest of his exectuve cohort, and has thus convinced all of them that we are idiots too.
Not better at all. The chatbot will not consistently fight you when you tell it that its wrong. The chatbot will not relent after being overwhelmed with actual data, then resurface the idea again in 6 weeks, then relent again, then try again in 4 weeks, on and on. I have one project that has been beaten back 5 times now, including having staff quit, hiring new people, and having them agreed it could not be done, and i know its still not over.
You do not want any form of this.

The problem is that no matter how many of these strategic levers governments pull, they just can’t replace the amount of oil that’s stuck waiting to move through the strait.
“Fifteen million barrels a day isn’t easy to offset anywhere,” says Dan Pickering, the chief investment officer with Pickering Energy Partners. “That’s the total production in the United States, and we’re the biggest producer in the world. There is no easy fix.”
Starting the war was a collasall fuck up that they cant fix except by ending it.

These are the bets losers pushing the journalist to lie, so thats likely a postive outcome for them. Polymarket apprently banned everyone invovled in the bet after this hit the news, but its unclear how the bet itself resolved.
Polymarket shouldnt let people bet on wars or violence in general, but they will because casinos get a cut of every transaction.

You can likely sue them in small claims court. Many states let you file for a couple hundred dollars and will give you 3x damages if you win.
The most likely outcome is they settle when the court date approaches or dont show and you win hy default.

The “pardoned for several felonies” Presidents daughters father in law.

Harley charged Harley prices (15-25k) for bikes that should have cost 5k. Thats why no one bought them.
Emotercycles still have range issues compared to gas bikes, with most topping out at 100 miles, but other modern brands are either selling them at 5k-10k or have implemented tech like battery swapping to make that range viable. Some companies are doing both.

Even if you do have to pay something, the cost Ive seen people post in europe are in the hundreds/thousands, not hundreds of thousands like the US.
Maybe this couple woukd have gotten a $200/2000 bill in the EU for a birth? $200,000 is a purely US problem.
The “imaginary-never gonna happen-will use twice as much power as the state of Utah uses combined” Utah mega datacenter might, might have 100 people employed in it eventually.
Maybe.
