    On average I would say gay men.

    Overall, women.

    There’s just a lot more women in the world than gay men. And contrary to popular belief, quite a lot of women really enjoy giving blow jobs.

          Canadian Health Survey self-reported gay as 1% in 2003 to 1.7% in 2014. Bisexuality was 0.7% in 2003 and had doubled by 2014.

            1. If you believe that being gay is largely genetic
            2. do you believe that some countries have just more gay genes?
            3. if not you can assume that the highest gay ratio in countries is more representative than the lower ones of specific countries.
            4. If you look at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Demographics_of_sexual_orientation there are some countries with >=7%

            I think the largest reason for lower reports is social pressure and the flexibility applied when being unhappy with your own orientation due to that pressure “I am not gay. I just like to experiment!” I believe that this partly causes the relatively large amount of “not completely straight” people in more precise studies.

            Anyway, this is a lot of guess work. Mainly I had this presumption, because a gay man I know stated “I can ask 10 men on the street and one will join me” and given that it sounded like he tried it a few times, I do believe him. So my starting position is highly anecdotal and not very scientific.

      I know the title explicitly says gay men, but then talks about Gay women and straight men as if the two sexualities are all that exist.

      I’m sure the number, if you include bi, bi curious, pan etc. Is much higher than 5%.

      I’m a mostly straight man (let’s say 2/3rds) and I’ve given more blowies than an ex female I was with for over a decade.

      The only straight women I’ve ever seen express an honest, self-derived interested in penises broadly have been “OMG I love penises so much and eat like, 30 dicks before lunch” marketed personas on reddit and the like who have Onlyfans links in their bios. These are the commercial entities that are skewing people’s ideas how the genders feel about the issue.

      Most straight female partners who perform the act regularly are mostly doing it for the emotional/intimacy connection, like watching their partner or doing it because they know their partner likes it but otherwise would be pretty ambivalent.

      This is all fine, but men broadly have a very hard time reconciling and processing that their female partners aren’t as into the visceral, genital-focused attractions as they are, and that’s why this is always such a huge issue. Nobody wants to patronized or placated, they want to feel actually desired and men and women, for whatever reason, be it biological or social or whatever else, have different kinds of attractions.

      In the old days we made this work by talking to each other and adapting to each other, nowadays people read all the discourse online even before meeting someone to be partner with and get too insecure or hyper-fixated on these differences before having a chance to learn how relationships even work. We were not really meant to read the insecurities and honest truths from so many millions of people we don’t know, it fucks with our psyche in ways we will be studying for centuries.

    Gay men.

    I once worked at a very shitty hotel. We’re talking a hookers 'n heroin type hotel. I once had a family in July come to the front desk at 3am complaining that this hotel was NOT suitable for a family to stay at. I simple said “Oh, I fully agree. This place ISN’T made for family vacations. Why ARE you here???”. She didn’t have an answer for that. She was atrempting to use that as reason why she should get a refund. She had no idea how to react to me saying that she WAS in the wrong place, she WAS in danger, and the smart thing to do was leave now for her own families safety.

    Well, about a year after that we had a gay leather biker convention that booked 80% of the whole hotel.

    While I was checking this one guy in, another guy walked up behind him and asked “Hi, I’m Tom. Are you single to play?” The first guy says “I’m not single, but we’re free to play”. The second guy just said “Great. I’m in room 302. Here’s a keycard. Bring your boyfriend and all your friends.”

    Me, being a straight male just had to be amazed at the efficiency. Tom just went from being a stranger to hosting a threesome, potentially an orgy, in 3 sentences.

    Not even the germans are THAT efficient! I just stood there thinking "God dammit. Why can’t I be gay? That was SO easy! With women you have to do all this other pesky stuff, like learning their name, going to dinner, finding out who they are as a person…Tom basically just walked up and said “Come get laid”.

    I think gay guys give more blowjobs just based on the fact that with a straight couple, only one is giving blowjobs and only sometimes. Gay guys BOTH give blowjobs, and I assume it’s several times a day. Like one just walks into the room, shoves his cock into the others mouth, and says “Oh by the way, my parents are coming to visit this weekend…don’t stop. I can multitask.”

      Yep, as a bi guy, I can attest to the efficiency of gay hookup/sex life culture in general.

      As a man, you’ll have two very different experiences if you go to a dedicated straight hookup app vs, say, Grindr or Sniffies.

      With women, it is a whole process of ensuring that both of you are looking for the other, even if it’s a one night stand. Physical attraction, being charming, non-threatening, tons of requirements. At one point I missed my chance with a girl because she liked being read poetry to after a hookup, and I was apparently reading the wrong poets at the time.

      With men? Even if you catfish them, 7-8 out of 10 will still have sex with you. You can literally post 10 year old pics, be 50-70kg heavier and still not a problem - meanwhile I had women call me out for using a roughly year and half old pic, and since I’ve lost weight and shaved off my beard, I looked slightly different…

      With apps like Grindr you can quite literally find a sex partner in 5 to 10 minutes. Start a few chats, send the appropriate pictures, agree on a time and who’s bringing what, and you’re good to go.

          Its a website for gay hookups. The innovation is that you are placed in a map near your location and then you go thru that map to find others to fuck with nearby or as far as you’d like. Thr government is totally not using it to disappear people of brown and darker color who happen to be gay.

          The map is usually super busy on Friday nights but its on and active the entire day. Even Christchurchmass. I bet people do it at church bathroom stalls. But gym bathrooms, changerooms and showers are popular as are adult book stores with video theaters and booths. I pass one of those every day to work.

      Women do blowjobs a lot less than the average gay man though, I think both handjobs and vaginal sex is a lot more common with biological women. I’m bi but have been with mostly women (~95%) and have gotten more blowjobs from men, also have several gay friends and from talking with them it seems blowjobs are much more common than handjobs and anal.

        Yeah, but not all women give BJs, some don’t do it often – married men will often talk about it like its a birthday/special event thing. Gay guys do it daily. Hell, a gay couple is going to rack up multiple BJs on both sides of the relationship daily – they 69 twice and they already lapped a straight married guy’s "birthday BJ"s 4 times.

        Not saying it’s definitely gay men, but I think we’d need more data to make a call really. I feel like it may be like those ‘salary’ things, where people’ll always note at the start of the year “The richest 1% made as much as the poorest 70% by January 3rd” or whatnot, but with BJs and Gay dudes.
