Many phrases for defecating use the word “take”. It makes no sense to me
Take ~= have ~= do
Take a break == have a break, but a break isn’t a tangible thing, so this is shorthand for “do the actions required to constitute a break”

I actually haven’t heard much of his stuff. Does he do a bit on this?
You also take a shower
Taking a shower’s worth of water out of the water heater.
Technically only true if you’re maxxed out on the hot, usually the hot is mixed with the cold water supply.
Take a bow after a performance.
Shit as a verb, not a noun.
Someone here has never cleaned out a litterbox.
You call that ‘faking a shit’?
English is the shit we keep taking
I’m going to have a shit. Which doesn’t sound quite right either when you look at it that way.
You’ve never “taken a break” or “taken a time-out” or “taken a nap”?
It’s not like “taking a X” is a foreign construct.
I take a break, a nap and a time out because Inwant those things for myself. I don’t want shit.
So what do you think happens to all the shit you leave around? Someone’s gotta take it.
Give birth to otters
Growing a smelly tail
Etc
Hanging a rat
Hey im leaving a shit right now!
Sir, I believe you left this behind.
Under the restaurant table.
I once told a version of this at a stand up open mic, it did very well.
I gift a riverboat to the otter people in exchange for splashy kisses on my cheeks.
Dropping the kids off at the pool
Make a shit
That part is usually already done by that point.
I dunno. Maybe it’s not called shit when it’s still inside you? Like a magma/lava situation?
