The guy stumbled upon 5 female elephants and a calf. Pretty sure any human would have been attacked, but yeah, who knows what’s in their collective memory.
Pretty sure I’ve read that elephants will recognize poachers. They will remember you, they will kill you.
If crows can eusocially pass on their grudges maybe they can as well.
