i didn’t know where else to post this ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Is that… six sevens?

Nein
Why should I know?
The unix epoch is a fixed time, 1 January 1970 00:00:00 UTC. What you are refering to is unix time, the time since the unix epoch.
I’ve seen this mentioned in a few places now. What is the significance of 17777777~ ?
I think its just that there are a lot of repeating numbers. The next one isn’t for another 4 years, according to that other link that someone posted
Assuming that this timestamp is in seconds:
GMT: Friday, November 9, 2029 at 3:21:28 a.m.
Your time zone: Thursday, November 8, 2029 at 7:21:28 p.m. GMT-08:00
Relative: In 4 years

I just think they’re neat!
Yeah I’m not waking up at 3AM to witness this monumental occasion
Then do it in a better time zone. I’ll be celebrating it very quietly during an opera tonight.
i didn’t know where else to post this ¯_(ツ)_/¯
I think, it has the right amount of being interesting for !mildlyinteresting@lemmy.world
Sure, I’ll crosspost.
How long until 18888888? Or 2000000
Edit: found it: https://www.epochconverter.com/
1888888888 is like 4.5 years away, and then 1999999999 isn’t until 2033. But the cool thing is, 2000000000 will be shortly after.
