England isn’t part of the EU.

England isn’t part of the EU.

Europe can’t do shit unless we cut ties with US tech. Reality is, we can’t antagonize Pedonald too much, or he will cut us off. Companies and governments are still too dependent on Microsoft and other US tech. Without access to that, they would be fcked.

Yeah this won’t win any Linux users back. At best, it will just slow the rate of users changing from Windows to Linux.

Nope. I’ve read enough threads on Reddit where people can’t even get a Minimum Wage job because those are getting overwhelmed with applicants as well so those kinda jobs also have become hard to come by and require experience.

Funny thing, Walmart tried to do exactly that when they were trying to get a foothold in germany, but failed massively, lol.

Because Big Oil doesn’t profit from high speed trains, since those trains don’t run on fossil fuels (at least not directly). And everyone knows Big Oil rules the US in truth. Every president is just more or less a puppet from them.

That approach doesn’t work for any game, tho. For example, I can’t get mods working for World of Tanks. If I move the mid files in the directory where they normally would be under Windows, WoT crashes when I start it.

China will soon, or prolly has already, be the number 1 country. US oligarchs are just focussed on getting richer instead of trying to advance humanity technologically.

What a fckn sh*thole the US is.

I can tell you, your experiences can’t be generalized. The work environment can really differ from company to company, and also depends in which industry you are working. I am working in IT, and in my department my colleagues and I can talk to each other in a very casual, non-formal way.

Germany has a rough working culture? Where do you get this from? In some unions full-time equates to only 35 hours a week, and we commonly have 30 days of vacation. And our working culture is nothing at all like in the US. We have very good employee protection rights and unlimited sick days. And currently I am working in the public sector, where I can choose to work only 4 days a week (with 80% of the pay, ofc). It is really great.

Wouldn’t say China is ‘dead against’ the EU. China just does stuff which benefits them the most, I wouldn’t say they have an inherent resentment towards the EU. And unlike the US, I believe China sees that the EU is a viable partner economically and that they would do themselves a disfavour if they were damaging those relations. Something the US doesn’t understand, they just continue to isolate themselves further and further and suffer the consequences.

Don’t worry. Pedonald will keep bombing Iran so that he has an excuse to keep the sanctions against Russia lifted, so that they can keep selling their oil which helps their economy.

or whatever the Lemmy Syntax would be

Let’s see. Making tobacco illegal means the black market will florish. And then the government can’t regulate the quality. Kinda what we already have with Cannabis. A lot of countries legalize Cannabis so that buyers can be sure it is of proper quality and not mixed with dangerous substances. Yes, smoking is bad and that’s why it should be expensive in order to discourage people from smoking. And a lot of public spaces should be smoke-free as well so that non-smokers are affected by smokers as little as possible. Banning something completely can go fully in the opposite way, just look what the Prohibition back in the US did with regards to Alcohol.

And then there’s germany: I pay 43 Euros a month for only 100 MBit/s via cable. Nice to see how fckn far behind we are lol.

That’s like lecturing Albert Einstein or Stephen Hawking in physics lol

And for Netanyahu. I am pretty sure Netanyahu goaded Trump into attacking Iran.

Debian ofc. Needs to be stable.
Out of all EV manufacturers, why tf did u decide to get a Tesla?! Hope you got yourself a used one, at least.
